After years of working in developing communities, we saw a pattern.

Efforts to solve poverty often begin with aid, training, or small business.

But without strong economic systems, those efforts don’t last.

Communities don’t lack talent.

our Founder

Leadership Outfitters was founded by Lowry Redd, a professional engineer and systems builder with a lifelong focus on solving complex, real-world problems. Through projects across the globe, he saw firsthand why many efforts struggled. Not because people didn’t care, but because the underlying systems weren’t strong enough to support them.

Many projects started with momentum… and then stalled. Instead of walking away, he leaned in.

He began developing and testing a model designed to address the root causes of poverty:

  • Weak or misaligned community governance
  • Lack of economic infrastructure
  • Limited access to meaningful, stable work

Through real-world projects in places like Ivory Coast, Kenya, and beyond, that model continues to evolve. Not as theory. But through practice.
